BU Hosts 48th Annual Health Law Professors Conference

  • October 10 was National Depression Screening Day, with two-minute, free, anonymous, and confidential screenings in the Instructional Building Lobby.

  • BU Human Resources and Fitness and Recreation Center held an Employee Wellness Fair in Hiebert Lounge on Thursday, October 10.

  • On Wednesday, the Center for Health Law, Ethics & Human Rights hosted a conversation with Nils Melzer (second from left), United Nations Special Rapporteur on Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment.

  • On Wednesday evening, Rhodessa Jones, the Activist Lab's artist-in-residence, performed selections from The MEDEA Project: Theatre for Incarcerated Women.

  • Alum Sonja Steck, a current Shield Emerging Leader at Blue Shield of California, returned to SPH on Wednesday to recruit for the company's career development program.

  • On Thursday, the weekly SPH Walks gave faculty and staff a chance to take a break, move around, get some air, and connect with their coworkers.

  • Rhodessa Jones led a workshop for students on Thursday.

  • Cornell William Brooks, Professor of the Practice of Public Leadership and Social Justice at Harvard Kennedy School, reminded the audience at the 400 Years symposium of its obligation to fight for change

  • Yvette Cozier, Assistant Dean for Diversity and Inclusion and an Associate Professor of Epidemiology, moderated a panel on teaching

  • Rodessa Jones, the SPH Artist in Residence for the week, guided the audience on an emotional exploration of the themes discussed during the symposium
