On November 10, the International Students Organization (ISO) hosted the 11th Annual ISO Cultural Show, part of the kickoff to International Education Week 2017.
More than 100 attendees turned out to see a total of nine acts, including three from the School of Public Health and seven overall from BU. Performances included Nigerian dance, Venezuelan and Argentinian song, Latin American partner dance, and a full band with drums, guitar, singing, and dancing.
The event, which also featured food, trivia, and a raffle, raised funds for United for Puerto Rico.
“Planning, performing, and emceeing the Cultural Show is is a memory I will never forget,” said Chine Chime, MPH student and ISO Executive Board member. “We celebrated our community while raising money for a good cause.”
The ISO celebrates global diversity at SPH, helping students adjust to life in Boston and at BU, enabling them to build professional relationships, and sharing the cultural richness of the public health experience.
