  1. Kudos to Aaron Cohen on this distinguished award in Environmental Epidemiology! Aaron is one of the earliest graduates of the Epidemiology Doctoral Program (EDP), the first doctoral degree program at BUSPH. I remember having long discussions with Aaron when he was considering application to the doctoral program. I argued that a doctoral degree in epidemiology would be a more rewarding career choice for him than his continuing a career in respiratory therapy. Obviously, my argument has been proven correct.
I hope Aaron doesn’t mind sharing a bit of his glory with those of us responsible for creating the EDP as further evidence of the strength of the EDP, even in its earliest days. Aaron, we in Epidemiology at BUSPH are so proud of you and the career you have carved for yourself in environmental epidemiology, culminating in this award by your peers for your many contributions to the science of environmental epidemiology!
Well done, Aaron – and my hearty congratulations!

  2. It is wonderful to hear about this award. I know that Aaron carefully thought about whether he wanted to pursue his doctorate in Epidemiology or not. I was delighted when he chose to come to BU. He was a terrific student with many probing questions. He has always been committed to pursuing research that will impact people’s lives. This award is an excellent testament to what Aaron has done with his degree and with his career and to his commitment to improving public health. Kudos, Aaron
