The International Society for Organization Development and Change (ISODC) has honored alumna Joanna Krause and Professor Malcolm Bryant as co-award winners of the best journal article of 2014.

Their article, “Rigor and Burden: Striking the right balance in organizational capacity assessments,” was published in the Summer 2014 edition of Organization Development Journal when Krause was still a student.

Krause, a social and behavioral sciences concentrator who earned her MPH in 2014, was lead author on the article, which compared 24 common organizational assessment tools to determine which might work best for nonprofits involved in capacity building.

Bryant, a clinical associate professor of global health, teaches courses in health systems and health service implementation, with research interests that include health systems and quality of care, and organizational development.

Amiya Bhatia, an MPH student at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, was a co-author on the article. The research team received the award at the annual meeting of the ISODC in May.
