Yes, That Really IS a Piano on the Talbot Green….
It’s not an illusion: An upright piano has landed on the Talbot Green, available for anyone to plunk down and play between now and Oct. 14, when it is expected to disappear as suddenly as it arrived.
The “Play Me, I’m Yours” installation will run until Oct. 14.The piano is one of 75 pianos that have been deposited in public spaces in Boston, Cambridge, Somerville and Brookline as part of “Play Me, I’m Yours,” an arts project by artist Luke Jerram. The project already has reached more than 4 million people worldwide.
A wide range of local artists and community-based organizations have decorated the pianos, including BU’s multicolored one.
