Help Promote Wellness by ‘Takin’ it to the Stairs’ on April 1.

Kick off National Public Health Week by joining colleagues on the BU Medical Campus in taking the stairs Monday, April 1 (and everyday) for better personal health and to promote health and wellness among the members of our campus community.

Students from MED, SPH, GMS, and SDM have organized to encourage everyone (students, faculty, and staff) to take the stairs in lieu of the elevators to improve cardiovascular health.

To kick-start participation, a limited number of buttons and pedometers will be given to participants in all schools; they will be handed out at the stairway entrance to the Alumni Medical Library from 11:30-2 while supplies last. To enter, head up the stairwell across from Dean Antman’s office. Alternatively, head up the main stairwell to the 10th floor, then enter the 10th floor and make two lefts—at the end of the hallway on your left is the stairwell for the final two stories to the library stair entrance. Participation is of course voluntary.
