Monday, April 9th, noon to 1:30 pm in the Founders’ Room

Providing Positive Feedback

Facilitated by Rob Schadt, EdD, OTLT

Communicating with students about their progress throughout the semester is crucial for their learning and development as emerging professionals. By keeping students informed of their progress, you provide motivation, encourage good work and improve their ability to be self-directed. However, we often underestimate the power of positive feedback. We are quick to point out to someone when they need improvement. Sometimes we forget to acknowledge them when they do something right. Giving positive feedback can be a powerful tool for student motivation and personal growth. In this session we will discuss how to most effectively use a range of constructive feedback in classroom, advising and mentoring contexts.

Lunch will be served. Please RSVP to reserve your seat.
