Marcia Wilson
Senior Vice President of Quality Measurement, National Quality Forum
Marcia Wilson is the senior vice president of quality measurement for the National Quality Forum, a not-for-profit membership organization that works to catalyze healthcare improvement through quality measurement and reporting. Wilson leads the core NQF activities of measure endorsement and measure selection through the multiple-stakeholder consensus process. Prior to joining NQF, Wilson’s primary work focused on quality improvement initiatives in healthcare, with an emphasis on ensuring equitable care for minority patients. Wilson was part of the senior team that led Aligning Forces for Quality, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s signature effort to improve the quality of healthcare in 16 communities across the US. Wilson was also responsible for the development and implementation of two nationwide hospital initiatives: addressing disparities in cardiac care and reducing emergency department crowding by improving hospital-wide throughput. Additionally, Wilson has nearly 20 years of experience in healthcare working primarily with medical groups. She received her BA from the University of Illinois, her MBA from the University of San Diego, and her PhD from George Washington University.
