Center for Climate & Health Seminar: Perspectives on Climate Journalism.

The Center for Climate and Health is excited to host Sam Geall, CEO of Dialogue Earth, for a seminar, "Perspectives on Climate Journalism". Climate change is a complex phenomenon that is difficult to communicate. Sam Geall is the CEO of Dialogue Earth, a London-based non-profit focused on environmental journalism and communications. It aims to create better conversations on climate and environmental issues, by lifting up local environmental voices to a global audience through translation, cross-border reporting, and collaboration. Sam has a background as a social anthropologist: he conducted ethnographic research among Chinese environmental journalists and taught Human Geography of China. He is also Associate Fellow at Chatham House in the Environment and Society Department. He will speak, from his own experience, about how environment and climate change topics are communicated around the world and what lessons this might hold for researchers and others.
