Best Practices for Trauma-Informed Research Workshop.

The Center for Trauma and Mental Health is excited to announce an upcoming virtual workshop, "Best Practices for Trauma-Informed Research" led by Dr. Natalie Edelman. Dr. Edelman is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Kent and developed TRuST, a consultancy that offers support around trauma-informed research, training, and evaluation. She defines trauma-informed research as “the translation of trauma-informed principles of care to research processes to minimize retraumatization and improve inclusion for the most disenfranchised groups and individuals.”

The session will cover:

A basic introduction to trauma-informed principles and practice

Conducting research in a trauma-informed way - using Dr. Edelman's Trauma and Resilience informed Research Principles & Practices framework

To conduct an engaging workshop, this session will be capped at 30 participants. If you are interested, please promptly register. The first 30 respondents will be sent a calendar invite to confirm attendance.
