Exploring Innovation: Why a public health perspective is needed to solve problems in healthcare Emilia Javorsky MD, MPH (HPM, '10) is a physician-scientist who is focused on the invention, development, translation and commercialization of new therapies into clinical practice using a problem-based approach. Emilia will be speaking on how a public health education uniquely equips students to get involved in medical innovation, why startups may be an interesting career path, and the importance of starting any venture with an unsolved problem.
