Join us in welcoming Daniel López-Cevallos, PhD, MPH. Dr. López-Cevallos is a public health scientist, educator, and community partner, committed to addressing health inequities among Latinx and other marginalized communities in Latin America and the United States. He has worked as a clinician, teacher, and health equity researcher for well over two decades. His research and evaluation work focuses on the intersections of race/ethnicity, gender, class, migration, and other socioeconomic and sociocultural constructs, and their relationship to health, health care, and educational issues. He is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Health Promotion and Policy at UMass Amherst School of Public Health and Health Sciences. Prior to joining UMass Amherst, he served in both faculty and administrative roles at Oregon State University, Universidad San Francisco de Quito (Ecuador), and Western Oregon University.
