2025 Human Capital Initiative Research Symposium.

The Human Capital Initiative (HCI) at the Boston University Global Development Policy Center advances interdisciplinary research on the role of human capital in human development to inform policy solutions to global challenges including poverty, women’s empowerment and sustainable economic growth through investments in education and health.
The 2025 HCI Research Symposium will convene HCI Core Faculty to present on current research across multidisciplinary fields, including public health, political science, economics and more. With presentation topics spanning how leadership changes affect local bureaucratic performance in Indonesia to ultra poor graduation, the Symposium will showcase current and ongoing research projects by members of the HCI community. Scholars, faculty, students and other members of the BU community who have an interest in human capital and development research are invited to network, engage and learn about the work of HCI.
This event is only open to members of the Boston University community.
