Urban environmental exposures and child health in African cities.

This talk will highlight Dr. Raphael Arku’s ongoing studies on air and noise pollution and heat exposures in relation to child health in Accra (Ghana) and Kigali (Rwanda). It will also argue the urgent need for local data, evidence, and capacity building to promote health equity in the context of economic growth and climate change in fast-growing cities in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA).
