Dear Colleagues:

About two weeks ago, our community came together for its Spring Celebration, an annual highlight. On a beautiful day, it was a true joy to be together on Talbot Green to celebrate both the end of a busy and productive year and the start of summer.

As we mark the start of summer, I would like to take a moment to thank our community for doing so much to make the last academic year a success, even amidst at times choppy seas. The achievements of our graduates—reflected at our recent Convocation ceremony—are a testament to our community’s commitment to providing a world class education to our students. The stellar publication record of our scholars reflects the open-minded pursuit of knowledge that is core to our mission as a school. Our engagement with promoting health at the local, national, and global levels emerges from our ongoing dedication to community-based public health practice. And, animating all of this is our aspiration to create a school that embraces the values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice that point the way to a better, healthier world. Creating such a world rests on the commitment of everyone in our community to pursuing excellence, aligning all we do with our best values.

Thank you to each and every member of our community for living that commitment every day.

I hope that everyone has the opportunity to rest and recharge in the coming months. May summer be a season of travel, good books, time with family and friends, and more beautiful days spent outside. It is a joy and a privilege to work with you each day.

With best wishes for a wonderful summer,

Warmly,

Sandro
