Substitution Day: Presidents’ Day 2025
Monday, February 17, 2025 is Presidents’ Day and classes will not be held that day. BU will substitute a Monday schedule on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 in academic spaces. All of the classes and events booked on Monday, February 17 will shift to Tuesday, February 18.
What does this mean for my event?
In a Classroom / Academic Space
- If you want to hold an event on Monday, February 17 in a classroom, make your request for Tuesday, February 18 in 25Live.
- If you want to hold an event on Tuesday, February 18 in a classroom, make your request for Monday, February 17 in 25Live.
Already scheduled your event in 25Live?
If you have an event scheduled in 25Live on Monday, February 17 in a classroom, your event will actually take place on Tuesday, February 18 in your assigned space.
If you have an event scheduled in 25Live on Tuesday, February 18 in a classroom, your event will actually take place on Monday, February 17 in your assigned space. This applies only to meetings & events; academic classes will not take place on President’s Day on February 17.
Remember that the only classroom building open on the holiday is CAS.
In a Non-Academic Space
If you have an event scheduled in 25Live on Monday, February 17, or Tuesday, February 18 in a non-academic space, your event will actually take place on the date listed in 25Live; non-academic spaces do not follow sub-day scheduling.
