Jessica Lee Awarded the Harold C. Case Scholarship

Boston University’s Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies is proud to announce that Jessica Lee (BA ’26) has been awarded the prestigious Harold C. Case Scholarship for the 2025-2026 academic year. The Case Scholarship is one of the highest honors accorded to undergraduate students at Boston University. Lee, who is majoring in Asian Studies, and minoring in Biology and in Interdisciplinary Studies, is on the pre-medical track.
Since 2023, she has honed her research of graphic medicine and learning visual tools that improve healthcare for people with limited English proficiency with Boston University’s College of General Studies’ Center for Interdisciplinary Teaching & Learning. As an enlisted service member since 2020, her goal is to become an Air Force physician after completing her master’s degree and MD program following college graduation.
In her own words, Lee shared her appreciation for this honor,
The Harold C. Case Scholarship is a very meaningful award to me, as it has given me great financial support for my senior year at BU and gave me recognition for my endeavors during the past few years. Also, I have been able to connect with younger classmen to share this opportunity and my college journey that has led me to the award, such as with activities inside and outside of BU.
Lee continues a legacy of Pardee School students who have been awarded the Case Scholarship in the last few years, including Nathan Duong (’25) and Bontu Ankit Patro (’25) who both were awarded the Case Scholarship in 2024, Kevin Clenard (’24), Sydney Householder (’24), and Alexis Pfalzgraf (’24) who received the award in 2023, and 2022 honored Charlotte Greenhill (’23), Daniel Markovic (’23), and Evan Teplensky (’23).
The Harold C. Case Scholarship is offered to outstanding BU juniors for support in their senior year. The criteria for selection are academic excellence, extracurricular pursuits, contributions to the University, and scholarly potential. The scholarship was established by contributions from students, alumni, staff, faculty, Trustees, and friends of BU, in recognition of the achievements of Dr. Case during his tenure as the fifth President of BU from 1951 to 1967.
