Sophia Gish Wins Boston University Supervisor of the Year

Since 2012, the Student Employment Office has overseen the Supervisor of the Year program to recognize the outstanding supervisors at Boston University. This year, Sophia Gish, the Pardee School’s Senior Undergraduate Advisor, has won the 2024 Boston University Supervisor of the Year Award.
Every year, student employees are given the opportunity to nominate their supervisor to receive the Supervisor of the Year Award. Students are asked to submit a nomination form along with a letter commenting on the supervisor’s contributions to their students’ skill development, highlighting examples of the supervisor acting as a role model, and describing the impact made on their overall BU experience by the supervisor.

Sophia received her Master’s in Education (Ed.M.) from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and her B.A. in English from Dartmouth College. She has worked with college students in a variety of capacities – as a tutor, an academic coach, and an English language teacher – and she loves helping students explore, identify, and pursue their academic, professional, and personal goals while in college.
