Pardee School Alumna Selected for Pickering Fellowship Program

Regina Acosta (Pardee BA ’22), was recently selected for the Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Graduate Fellowship Program. The Pickering Fellowship Program is a highly esteemed program funded by the U.S. Department of State and administered by Howard University. The program attracts and prepares outstanding young people for Foreign Service careers in the U.S. Department of State. It provides financial assistance for a two-year graduate program, a domestic and abroad summer internship, mentoring and other professional development opportunities, and a five-year foreign service commitment.

When asked to comment on her achievement, Regina said the following:

I would like to thank the Pardee School for shaping my knowledge and appreciation for the art of diplomacy. It was a tremendous honor to be mentored by ambassadors and top intelligence officers over the course of my undergraduate studies. I’m very excited to join the growing number of Latinas in the Foreign Service and to begin this new chapter as a public servant for my country!
