Najam’s Predictions for 2017
Pakistan’s leading English language newspaper, Dawn, asked leading thought-leaders from Pakistan to go out on a limb and make three predictions for what might happen in 2017. Amongst the pundits who were asked to put their thoughts on the line was our own Prof. Adil Najam, Dean of the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University.
Here is the list he came up with.
1. Terrorism shall continue
2. Populism, authoritarianism and ultra-nationalism will rise globally
3. Democracy in Pakistan will not fall
