Pardee School Invites Applications for Faculty Positions
The Frederick S. Pardee School for Global Studies at Boston University invites applications for four faculty positions to begin July 1, 2017. The Pardee School faculty is dedicated to improving the human condition through rigorous interdisciplinary education, path-breaking research and innovative initiatives to make a real-world difference in the critical challenges humanity faces.

1. International Political Economy (Full Professor). We invite applications for a position at the rank of tenured professor in the field of International Political Economy or International Economic Policy. We are open to research in a variety of issue-areas, especially including global financial regulation, trade policy, development policy, and resource politics. We are open to all methodological approaches. We welcome applications from scholars in any relevant discipline, including economics, political science, and international relations. 2. International Security (Assistant Professor). We invite applications for an Assistant Professor, tenure-track faculty position in International Security. We are open to scholars of both traditional and non-traditional security, and to all methodological approaches. We welcome applications from scholars in any relevant discipline, including history, political science, security studies, and international relations. 3. International and/or Human Development (Assistant Professor). We invite applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in International and/or Human Development. We are especially interested in scholars whose work focuses not only on traditional economic development themes, but also addresses outcomes in health, education, and freedom at the individual and group levels, and pays particular attention to issues of inequality. We welcome applications from scholars in any relevant discipline, including economics, geography, political science, anthropology, sociology, development studies, and international relations, and are open to all methodological approaches. 4. Global Development (Professor of the Practice). We invite applications for appointment as Professor of the Practice of Global Development, with a specialization in non-governmental organizations and/or innovation for human progress. The successful candidate will be a distinguished practitioner who has worked at high levels in a major international organization or non-governmental organization. We are particularly interested in candidates whose work has focused on technology for development, NGO management, environment, human rights, international law, or multilateral negotiation. The professor of the practice will teach courses in his/her areas of expertise, and will also advise and mentor students pursuing professional careers in international relations. The position would look for regional expertise in any part of the world but with special preference for Africa. Prior teaching experience and a record of publication and research will be considered a plus. Full details here.
