Gallagher in China Daily on Mexico-China Trade
Research by Prof. Kevin Gallagher of the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies, who also co-directs the Global Economic Governance Inititiative, was cited in a recent new story in ChinaDaily.com. The news story titled ‘China not a Threat to US in Mexico’ (October 27, 2014) cited research by Prof. Enrique Dussel (of the Center for China-Mexico Studies at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México) and Prof. Kevin P. Gallagher as pointing out that US participation in the Mexican economy has gone down as China’s has increased and that the same pattern is noted in the Mexican participation in the US market.
Kevin P. Gallagher is the author of The Dragon in the Room: China and the Future of Latin American Industrialization (with Roberto Porzecanski), The Enclave Economy: Foreign Investment and Sustainable Development in Mexico’s Silicon Valley (with Lyuba Zarsky), and Free Trade and the Environment: Mexico, NAFTA, and Beyond.
