Pardee School Holds Undergrad Event
The Pardee School of Global Studies’ held a welcome event for undergraduates on Thursday, October 2, 2014. Although the weather did not cooperate, a large number of undergraduates still braved the cold and wet weather to stop by to pick up information of the various majors and minors offered by the Pardee School, and also grab weather-appropriate study snacks and hot cider.
The event was also attended by a number of Pardee School faculty from both its Division of International Studies and of Regional Studies.
The School’s undergraduate program advisors, Allison Patenaude and Vicky Kelberer, were available to speak with students about the new Pardee School and the 5 undergraduate majors and 8 undergraduate minors it offers. Several students picked out information on majors and minors from the Pardee School offerings, and many more learned about study abroad, language study, and student groups available at Boston University. Students were particularly happy to see faculty there and used the opportunity to get their advice too.
Currently, the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies offers undergraduate majors in International Relations, Asian Studies, European Studies, Latin American Studies and Middle East and North African Studies. It also offers minors in International Relations, African Languages and Literature, African Studies, East Asian Studies, European Studies, Latin American Studies, Muslim Cultures and in Muslim Societies.
