Recipients of the 2022–2023 Chadwick Fellowship are:

Krystie Dickson

Krystie DicksonApplied Business Analytics Lecturer Krystie Dickson, of the BU MET Department of Administrative Sciences, will use the Chadwick Fellowship to pursue her project, Professional Development—Skill Enhancement in Data Strategy Creation and Execution. This project will focus on exploring the business value of companies hiring a chief data officer to improve the strategic management, creation, application, and governance of data. The Chadwick funds will provide for a one-year subscription to a professional networking platform which delivers courses on various data management topics, attendance at the Chief Data Officer & Information Quality Symposium this summer, as well as registration for the Foundations for the Chief Data Officers Certificate Program.

Guanglan Zhang

Guanglan ZhangAs winner of the Chadwick Fellowship, BU MET Computer Science Associate Professor and Associate Chair Guanglan Zhang will pursue her project, The Development of Multipred3, a Computational System for the Prediction of Promiscuous T Cell Epitopes, and the Identification of Potential SARS-CoV-2 T Cell Epitopes. Professor Zhang’s cutting-edge bioinformatic research seeks to update and enhance web-based computational tools leading to better healthcare, specifically developing improved therapeutics and vaccines against future coronavirus outbreaks. Dr. Zhang also plans to use the fellowship award funding to attend a bioinformatics course being offered at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory.

Jon Korhonen

Jon KorhonenAs a Chadwick Fellow, BU MET Assistant Dean of Admissions & Enrollment Services Jon Korhonen will attend the University Professional & Continuing Education Association’s (UPCEA) Professional, Continuing & Online Leader Certificate Program. Korhonen will participate in five courses designed for higher education leaders with strategic decision-making roles and responsibilities in the areas of admissions, recruitment, and marketing. Throughout his coursework, he will benefit from collaborating with peer leaders from across the nation on strategic challenges and opportunities that currently exist.
