Bertha Bachner, 101; wrote column and loved learning

The Boston Globe included an obituary on Bertha Bachner, whom we honored at MET’s graduation almost a decade ago. She recently passed away at the age of 101. Even then, she regularly golfed and walked (and was quite spry coming to the stage).
