Dr. Cathal Nolan, associate professor of history at Boston University’s College of Arts & Sciences (CAS) and executive director of BU’s International History Institute, is faculty coordinator of the Metropolitan College bachelor’s program in history. He has over 27 years of experience as a professor of history and international relations at BU, the University of British Columbia, and Miami University. Professor Nolan has been involved with the history program since 2014, and oversees academic aspects that include the development and assessment of student learning outcomes that coordinate with CAS learning outcomes; making recommendations for the hiring, scheduling, and staffing of part-time faculty; reviewing course and program enrollments; and working with MET Undergraduate Student Services to help advise and mentor students.
