Statistics PhD Student
Hi, my name is Wancheng, and I go by Walden. I am a first-year PhD student with broad interests in stochastic processes and their applications. I’ve spent time studying large stochastic systems, especially rare events and heavy-tailed phenomena—the kinds of things that are unlikely to happen, but somehow keep happening (to me, too). More recently, I’ve also become fascinated by the probabilistic underpinnings of generative models.
