Assistant Professor
Anirban Chatterjee is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Boston University. He earned his Ph.D. in Statistics from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, in 2025, advised by Prof. Bhaswar B. Bhattacharya, and previously served as the William H. Kruskal Instructor at the University of Chicago. His research develops theory and methodology for modern statistical and machine learning problems, with a focus on Graphon theory and fluctuations in random graph models, network inference, kernel-based hypothesis testing, and uncertainty quantification and calibration in machine learning.
