Support the Department Community
The Mathematics & Statistics Department at Boston University is a vibrant community of students and researchers. Thanks to the generous support of donors, we are able to offer programs like our Weekly Bagel Seminar, where graduate students meet weekly and discuss their work and teaching, as well as the Marvin I. Freedman Colloquium, an annual event that brings topical speakers to engage with our faculty and students. Funding for events and speakers keeps us connected to the greater mathematics community, in Boston and beyond.
Support Our Graduate Students
Our graduate students travel to conferences throughout the year to present their research and connect with others in the field. Your gifts can support their travel costs, allowing our young mathematicians and statisticians to broaden their horizons, attend sessions, and build connections that otherwise might not be possible.
Support Our Postdoctoral Research
Postdoctoral Researchers are a vital part of our department community. They work closely with our faculty on research topics ranging from machine and statistical learning, to the Langlands program. These researchers are funded by fellowships and grants, but support for their travel to conferences and funding for research supplies are provided by the department. Gifts from donors like you can help us recruit top talent in the future.
