Looking for a Textbook or Study Aid?
Required & Recommended Course Books
Course reserves are located in the first aisle of the reserve area behind the reference and circulation desks. Items can be borrowed for three hours. Items may be borrowed overnight if checked out less than three hours before closing and must be returned one hour after opening the next day. Frequently requested materials do not circulate overnight and overnight loans are not available during the first two weeks of the semester. To search course reserves, use the advanced search option on BU Law Libraries Search.
The Law Library’s study aids collection is located in the second aisle of the reserve area. Study aids may be borrowed for three hours.
The library maintains a permanent reserve collection of hornbooks, major treatises, and other materials that support law school classes. These materials are located in the second aisle of the reserve area. They may be borrowed for three hours and used in any library reading room, but they may not be removed from the library.
Law students who have overdue study aids or reserve materials are subject to late fees at the rate of $5/hour during hours that the library is open. For more information, please see the library policies.
Please contact us immediately if you do not have the material listed in the overdue notice. Even if you are certain that the material was returned, our records still indicate that the material is checked out to you.
