CAS’28 Economics

Hi everyone! I’m Tuvimanyu Gautam, and I’m in the Class of 2028. I am from Dubai, majoring in Economics with a minor in International Relations. I’m deeply fascinated by international economics, public policy, and consumer behavior, which I explore through my involvement with the Undergraduate Economics Association, the BU Financial Modelling Club, and the AI Safety and Alignment Association, which has been a great way to connect with others! Beyond my academic interests, I’m usually exploring Boston’s coffee scene, running by the Charles River, at the FITREC, or reading historical fiction.

Moving from Dubai to Boston for college was a big step, and like many of you, I had my share of uncertainties about finding my place. But looking back on my first year and a half at BU, I can honestly say that everything has a way of working out. I’ve found incredible communities that have shaped both my personal growth and my career interests, which is exactly what I hoped college would be about.

KHC has been one of the most meaningful parts of my BU experience. Some of my closest friendships have started in Kilachand Hall, and my seminars have sparked some of my coolest academic moments, whether debating global economic policies or diving deep into behavioral economics. I’m truly grateful for the community here and the opportunities it’s given me to grow.

I know that settling into college, especially as a freshman still finding your rhythm, can feel overwhelming at times. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, want advice on classes or clubs, or just need someone to grab coffee with!

I’d love to help you feel at home in KHC and at BU :)
