Mike De Socio

I’m an independent journalist based in upstate New York, telling stories about cities, climate change and the LGBTQ+ community. My path in journalism has taken me through almost every part of the newsroom, where I’ve worked as a photographer, writer, reporter and editor. Currently, I’m writing a book about the fight for LGBTQ+ inclusion in the Boy Scouts of America. My work has been published in Bloomberg, The Guardian, Fortune, DigBoston, HuffPost, Bicycling Magazine and beyond.
