Karen Kong
SAR’28 Health Science
Hi everyone! My name is Karen Kong(she/her) and I am in the class of 2028 majoring in Health Science. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. In my free time, I love doing pilates, yoga, listening to music, and traveling.
Aside from being a Kilachand Ambassador, I am a part of the Chinese Students Association and the Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers. Also, I work as an undergraduate laboratory assistant in a biology lab. One of my favorite Kilachand classes is “Poetry as Activism.” It deepened my connection to poetry through exploring works centered around racial injustice, mass incarceration, war, and so much more.
Kilachand offered me this small community within this large university that made the transition to college easier. From learning with peers in Kilachand classes, studying together on the ninth floor, and meeting peers at KHC events, I appreciate the close-knit community I’ve found at Kilachand.
If you have any questions about my experience in KHC/BU, the health science major, or anything else, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
