Jennifer Finney Boylan is the author of 19 books, including MAD HONEY (co-authored with Jodi Picoult) and SHE’S NOT THERE (the first bestselling work by a trans American). She is Anna Quindlen Professor of English and Writer in Residence at Barnard College of Columbia University. For many years she was contributing opinion writer for the New York Times, as well as the national co-chair of GLAAD; at present she is President of PEN America. Her work has appeared in the New Yorker, the Washington Post, the Boston Globe, LitHub, and elsewhere. Her latest book, CLEAVAGE: Men, Women, and the Space Between Us is about the difference between men and women, as she has lived it, as well as the difference between coming out as trans in 2000, and now. In 2022-23 she was a fellow at the Radcliffe Institute of Harvard University; this spring she is Scholar in Residence at UC Santa Cruz. She lives in Maine with her wife, Deirdre.
