Peer Mentor Application 2025
During the 2025-26 academic year, Kilachand Peer Mentors will:

Serve as an energetic and enthusiastic mentor to help first year students succeed at Kilachand and Boston University.

Develop and maintain relationships with assigned mentees.

Attend four mandatory training meetings, that occur between May-September. Two will be in person and two will be virtual.
- Attend a Terriers Connect Training in Fall 2025
- Attend the Peer Mentor Meet & Greet event during Week of Welcome in the first week of September.

Attend all Peer Mentor Study breaks.

Serve as remote guides for your advisees this summer.

Communicate with each of your advisees via e-mail at specific times this summer starting in July.
As representatives of the College, Mentors embody the highest ideals of Kilachand and BU. They demonstrate professionalism, have excellent communication skills, the ability to build relationships, as well as an appreciation for the mission of Kilachand.
Peer Mentors are expected to:

Act as responsible representatives of the Kilachand Honors College and Boston University.

Be positive in their attitude about the Kilachand Honors College and BU.

Be in good academic standing at their home school or college and Kilachand and will not have been engaged in inappropriate conduct as defined by the Boston University handbook.

Building your resume
The Kilachand Peer Mentor term is one academic year (AY): fall, spring, and summer. Interested students should complete the webform below by Friday, April 18.
Students will be notified if they have been invited to participate by the end of April. You will be expected to contact your mentees at least once in July and August, attend the mandatory peer mentor trainings, and the Week of Welcome event in the fall. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors in good standing are eligible to apply.
