Hi everyone! I’m a dual BS/BA student from South Florida in the class of 2025. I have a lot of experience at Innovate@BU as CEO and founder of a comedy media start-up on the innovation pathway that was accepted to the summer accelerator. This production studio creates an intercollegiate SNL-style show called “Wicked Smaht Comedy” that also donates to local charities. I also hosted BU’s IDEACon in Fall 2024 and got placed on BostInno’s 25 under 25 list in 2023 for my entrepreneurship.
Outside of the innovation space, I pursued investigative journalism at NBC News, GBH News, and ProPublica. I’ve worked at NBC for three semesters as an intern in various departments both in person at 30 Rock and remotely from Boston. On campus, I was a city editor at The Daily Free Press and Producer of BUTV10’s The Wire. My work was honored as the New England Press and Newspaper Association College Rising Star of 2022.
I’m also a Resident Assistant at 610 Beacon and a proud union steward of the BU Residence Life Union. Issues in this space inspired my Kilachand keystone project on collegiate food insecurity. I plan to work on expanding government benefits in the future and dedicating my life to public interest law. I also highly recommend the amazing Sophie Godley’s freshman KHC seminar “Seeing Poverty” as it has literally shaped my career path. Kilachand is a fantastic opportunity to grow and learn from every discipline, I’m so excited to see how it changes your life as it did mine.
Perhaps most importantly, I’m a big Spotify aficionado and love writing letters to my long distance friends. If any of these things I do even vaguely interests you, please reach out to me! I would love to give you guidance.
