Tristan Thinh Huynh

Tristan Huynh is a proud double Terrier returning to Boston University’s School of Hospitality Administration as the Manager of Graduate Admissions and Enrollment Yield. Having experienced SHA firsthand as both a graduate student and BU undergraduate, Tristan brings valuable insight, authenticity, and a strong personal connection to the school – making him a great resource and relatable guide for prospective students exploring SHA’s graduate programs.

Tristan earned his Master of Science in Hospitality Management from BU SHA, where he was recognized with the Dean’s Leadership and Service Graduate Award for his advocacy and contributions to the school. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and Journalism from BU’s College of Communication. His academic and professional interests center on hospitality, sustainability, consumer behavior, and organizational research.

Before returning to SHA, Tristan gained experience across luxury hospitality, higher education, and marketing, including roles as a manager-in-training at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, marketing manager at Restaurant Associates at Harvard Business School, Media Strategist at Havas Media Australia, and within BU SHA’s administrative and marketing teams. In his current role, he supports prospective and admitted students throughout the admissions process while sharing his firsthand experience as a SHA graduate.
