Sunny Kim

Dr. Sunny Kim joined Boston University’s School of Hospitality Administration in 2025 as an Assistant Professor. She earned her Ph.D. in Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a master’s degree from Kansas State University. Her research focuses on the well-being of service employees, exploring topics such as customer incivility, technology-infused service encounter. Sunny has published in leading journals in hospitality, tourism, and services management, such as Annals of Tourism Research, Tourism Management, International Journal of Hospitality Management, among others. She brings extensive professional experience across Korea, Japan, and the United States in the hospitality and service sectors, which informs both her research and teaching. She has presented extensively at international conferences, fostering collaborations across institutions and globally.
