Jin Sun Ahn

Visiting Assistant Professor of Accounting

Jin Sun Ahn, Ph.D., CPA., CHIA, joined the faculty at the Boston University School of Hospitality Administration (SHA) in the fall of 2018 where she teaches managerial accounting for both undergraduate and graduate students. She earned her Ph.D from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and her master’s degree from George Washington University where she majored in accounting. Jin also majored in accounting during her time as an undergraduate at the University of Arizona. Jin worked as an instructor for the hospitality and tourism management program at the University of Massachusetts from 2017-2018.

Prior to joining academia, Jin worked at various global firms and international organizations, including KPMG, The World Bank, and Samsung Electronics as an auditor, consultant, and financial analyst.

Her research focuses on accounting, finance and business strategies in the global hospitality and tourism industry. More specifically, her interest involves finding ways to enhance firm performance and make a growth profitable model through analyzing a firm’s financial structure.
