SHA’09

Hometown: Portland, Oregon

Current Location: Portland, Oregon

Why did you choose SHA?
I had a passion for food and an interest in the hospitality segment.

What is your favorite BU memory?
Too many to just choose one.

What was your first full-time job, and how did you end up in your current position?
I worked as an account coordinator for an advertising agency in Honolulu, Hawaii. It was a great experience and I was able to live in paradise for over a year. I eventually got island fever and returned back to the mainland. When I returned I had a year and a half of client service and project management skills. I was able to use my work and educational experience and my passion for sports and fashion to work as the Communications Specialist for the US Sport Style Brand Marketing team at adidas North America.

Please describe your current role, and how your SHA education has impacted your career.
I am currently the Communications Specialist for the US Sport Style Brand Marketing team at adidas North America. I help manage the brand’s voice in the US market place and work on a variety of projects including photo/commercial shoots and product/campaign launches. The skills I learned in SHA helped improve my communication skills and ability to work efficiently and effectively in groups.
