Claude Amadeo
Claude Amadeo grew up on the Jersey shore and graduated as an electrical engineer from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Upon graduation, he joined the hedge fund Bridgewater Associates and began a career in finance. At Bridgewater, he originally helped to develop their fundamental and systematic investment models. Over time, he gravitated back to his technology roots, grappling with Bridgewater’s intense demands for data, analytics, visualization, and automation. He created the original technology stack at Bridgewater – its entire suite of applications, platforms, and infrastructure. Additionally, he built their first technology organization, becoming their first CTO. After nearly 30 years at Bridgewater, he gradually transitioned out of the company to focus on other interests. An avid reader and consumer of all forms of entertainment, he co-founded media production company FirstGen which is aimed at turning a spotlight on stories that need telling. Additionally, he avidly engages in angel investing, particularly in aerospace, while enjoying time with his family and learning about the world.
