With a passion for the future of the hospitality industry, Chelsea Salamone gravitates towards ideas, products and brands that are unobvious, push boundaries, and contribute to its evolution. She is energized by problem solving, idea generation and innovation, and enjoys being part of developing creative, inclusive spaces around the world that encourage connection and cultivate a sense of belonging.
Chelsea has spent the entirety of her career in hospitality, first in operations with Hilton Worldwide’s Management Development Program, and then multiple roles within Business Development, Acquisitions and Hotel Development at brand and/or management companies.
Chelsea currently serves as a Senior Director for Acquisitions & Development at Standard International, contributing to the global growth of the once US-based company. Her role has evolved to include sourcing and analyzing opportunities for future Standard Hotels, Bunkhouse Hotels and Standard Residences, along with other general Business Development responsibilities. A graduate of Boston University, she served as BU’s School of Hospitality Administration commencement speaker in 2014 and was awarded “30 Under 30” by Hotel Management in 2017.
