Bruce A. Percelay is Chairman and Founder of The Mount Vernon Company, an owner and developer of multifamily, hotel, and retail properties throughout the New England region.
The company has established a reputation as one of the highest-quality apartment providers in the market and continues to grow its award-winning boutique hotel portfolio across the Northeast. The company’s two properties in Nantucket were voted “Best New Hotels in America,” and its 210-room Revolution Hotel in Boston was named “The Best New Hotel in the City” and has received numerous accolades for its innovative design.
Percelay began his career in advertising, where he marketed Parker Brothers games, Keds sneakers, A&W Root Beer, and was credited with the invention of Sunkist Orange Soda. Outside of his business career, Percelay has gained broad recognition for his nonprofit and philanthropic work; including serving as the builder of the Nantucket Whaling Museum, Chief Fundraiser and Chairman of Nantucket Cottage Hospital, Chairman of the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate, creator of Nourish Nantucket, and former Chairman of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Habitat for Humanity, among other involvements.
Percelay is the founder and publisher of the award-winning Nantucket Magazine and the Nantucket Current and has received numerous awards for his publications and his role as a writer.
