Brian Monahan

Brian Monahan with over twenty-eight (28) years of experience, is a Vice President and Partner at BR+A Consulting Engineers, LLC., specializing in the engineering management and design of complex, large scale, Healthcare, Higher Education and Life Science projects nation-wide. As a firm-wide leader, Brian’s focus is to cultivate opportunities, manage and lead project teams and staffing. Prior to this, his focus was managing BR+A’s Chicago office and the Mid-West region. Some notable projects include Indiana University Health’s new 44-acre campus with a new 2.6 million square foot replacement hospital, central energy plant and support buildings, slated to be amongst the first of the new electrified (decarbonized) hospitals in the nation. In addition, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The University of Kanas Hospital, University of Vermont’s Medical Center, Northwestern Medical Center, University of Nebraska Medical Center, Mass General Hospital, Baystate Medical Center, and a nine-building laboratory campus projects in Maryland for Boston Properties. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University, inclusive of various industry-based certifications and credentials. Personal activities involve real estate development initiatives, philanthropy efforts & outdoor activities such as golfing, skiing, cycling and leisure time in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Brian is happily married for 27 years and a proud father of two daughters who are both BU SHA alumni.
