Anne Dawson

Anne Dawson graduated with a BA in English and Communication from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama before jumping into the world of journalism. After a swift pivot into marketing, Anne used the strong voice she curated during her time working for a local magazine and publishing company to tell stories and establish connections through social media, and she continues to do so today.

Anne came to BU in 2022, joining the Undergraduate Admissions Office as the Digital & Social Media Marketing Manager, where she managed the social media accounts and website for the office. She also worked closely with a group of students at the Boston University Alan and Sherry Leventhal Center to create helpful and engaging content for TikTok and Reels. It was in this position that Anne learned what students in the admissions cycle are curious about and how to anticipate and answer those questions.

In her current role as the Senior Marketing Manager for SHA, Anne aims to establish a cohesive and powerful brand for the school, making sure future and current students understand exactly what makes it so special. She also uses her background in admissions and her certification in Google Analytics to identify which messages and strategies are most effective for recruitment, engagement, and event planning.
