Everything You Need to Know About the Hospitality Leadership Summit 2020

SHA’s biggest event is coming this March: the SHA Hospitality Leadership Summit 2020, Leadership in a Rapidly Changing Hospitality World, at The Hotel Commonwealth. This symposium features a dynamic line-up of speakers, sponsors, and panel topics on pressing issues and current trends shaping the hospitality industry.

At the summit, SHA welcomes industry professionals, both local and global, in lodging and mixed-use development, restaurant and food and beverage companies, consulting, tourism, and event planning to connect with its graduate and undergraduate students and engage in thoughtful dialogue and discovery surrounding a shared passion for service and hospitality. To put it in Dean Upneja’s words, The Summit offers the opportunity for our graduate and undergraduate students to polish their skills and hear from some of the leading figures of hospitality with insights and inspiration to catapult their journey into our industry. There is currently no other event in the Greater Boston area like this.”

This year’s selection of guest speakers is a worthy entry to the always impressive list. Amongst the many names, you’ll find high ranking names such as keynote speaker Marie Perry, of Ruth’s Hospitality Group and Jamba Juice. Additionally, many of the speakers are SHA alums or faculty themselves, including XV Beacon General Manager and SHA professor Amy Finsilver or Koy Restaurant co-owner and 2011 SHA grad Catarina Chang. Of course, these names are just a small selection of the remarkably diverse and esteemed full list, which can be found on the Summit webpage. Registration details can be found here. Registering before December 31st qualifies you for the Early Bird Discount, and Registration must be completed by March 12th. The conference will be held on March 20th and 21st, and is open to all SHA students, alumni, or any others interested in learning more on leadership and the hospitality industry.
