You’ve heard of haunted hotels and haunted houses that scare even the most fearless. However, no need to fear, there are nightmare-free hotels that provide just the right amount of spook. Here’s how hotels around the USA are celebrating Halloween!
The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island has hired a murder mystery company to host a three-day murder mystery event with a 1930’s Old Hollywood theme. When guests check-in, they will receive their first set of clues and will continue to receive clues throughout their stay. Will you be able to solve the murder mystery?
Woodloch Pines Resort in Hawley, Pennsylvania celebrates Halloween with a haunted hayride. Guests can hop on a hayride and ride through 15 scenes based on trending horror stories, films, and TV shows, as well as old-school scary stuff. The hayrides will be available every weekend from October through November. There is also a Halloween themed Olympics, scavenger hunts, trick or treating and much more!
The Hawthorne Hotel in Salem, Massachusetts, celebrates Halloween with a Halloween Ball. This year’s theme is Alien Invasion. They also will have a costume contest where contestants can win cash prizes so make sure to put on your best costume.
Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego is having their annual Halloween Party with over 4,000 people dressed partying on 3 floors. The theme this year is The Mad Tea Party featuring famous artists Snoop Dog and Dada Life.
The Great Wolf Lodge in Wisconsin Dells always jumps into the Halloween Spirit with decorations and events for families. Guests can expect balloon spiders, jack o’ lanterns and much more decorated throughout the lobby. They can even participate in trick or treating, Monster Bash Dance, spooky storytime, and dressing up in costumes for the kids.
The Curtis, a Doubletree by Hilton, is located in Denver, Colorado. On October 27th, this “pop-culture hotel” offers a haunting experience for Halloween lovers. Not only is the hotel decorated to be Halloween themed, but guests also get to stay on the 13th floor of the hotel. Additionally, the bar offers many drinks just for Halloween, such a special version of the Bloody Mary drink.
The Mohonk Mountain House celebrates Halloween by having an on-site haunted house. They also have a Halloween version of escape the room and trick or treating for the kids. At night, adults can dress up in their spookiest costumes to the Gala Halloween Costume ball with a costume contest.
