Meet the BrightFocus Foundation:
Thursday, July 10, 12pm ET (Zoom)

Are you looking for funding to advance your research on Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders? BrightFocus Foundation is a leading global nonprofit funder of innovative basic, translational, and clinical research to accelerate understanding, prevention, treatment, and cures for Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders. Each year, the Foundation’s Alzheimer’s Disease Research program provides $10 million in funding for nearly 150 scientific research projects worldwide.

In this virtual Meet the Funder workshop, Sharyn Rossi, PhD, director of neuroscience programs at BrightFocus, will present on the foundation’s grant opportunities. She will be joined by Julia TCW, PhD, assistant professor of pharmacology, physiology & biophysics at the Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, who will share her experience as a BrightFocus grantee.

Applications for BrightFocus standard awards and postdoctoral fellowships are due September 29, making July an ideal time to learn more about the foundation’s grant making process. Awards are open to faculty members within 12 years of receiving their terminal degree and to postdoctoral researchers within 5 years of their degree.
