Graduate Student Health Insurance
Boston University Graduate Education has put together a series of videos to help students understand the Graduate Student Health Insurance plan, which can be found here.
As a full-time student at GSDM, you are automatically granted access to the Fitness and Recreation Center the Charles River Campus.
To activate your membership, you must go to FitRec Member Services Desk with your BU ID and complete the waiver and liability forms. Memberships for spouses and dependents under the age of 17 can be purchased. Proof of marriage must be presented at the Member Services Desk before purchasing the spouse membership.
Access to the Fuller Gym basketball court and recreational area has been granted to the All BUMC students, staff and faculty as part of a campus-wide pilot program. The court can be used for pick-up basketball, volleyball, soccer, or any other group sports. Valid BU ID required to gain access.

- Hours: 4-9 p.m., every day but Tuesday
Fitness Classes at Fuller Gym
Starting February 3rd, FitRec will begin offering four instructor-led classes each week – Yoga, Bootcamp, HIIT, and Zumba at Fuller Gym. To participate in these classes, you must purchase a FitPass ($50 per semester) through BU FitRec. (The FitPass is separate from the FitRec membership you already receive as a full-time students). South End Fitness Center (SEFC)
SEFC is a fitness and wellness center run by the Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC).
- Student Membership: $199 per year (about $17 per month)
All SEFC memberships include use of the basketball court, strength training and cardio equipment, lap pool, and group fitness classes. Two (2) hour validated parking is available. Members receive free one-hour fitness orientation.
