Questrom Elective Choices

Students without applicable AP, IB, or college credits should enroll in CAS MA 121–Calculus for the Life and Social Sciences I. Calculus must be completed before fall of sophomore year.

Students with AP, IB, or college credit for calculus and/or economics should follow these guidelines:

• Students with credit for calculus should enroll in Microeconomics – CAS EC 101 –Introductory Microeconomic Analysis
• Students with credit for microeconomics OR macroeconomics should enroll in Calculus – CAS MA 121
• Students with credit for calculus AND microeconomics should enroll in Macroeconomics – CAS EC 102–Introductory Macroeconomic Analysis.
• Students with credit for calculus, microeconomics, and macroeconomics should discuss their course selection with their CGS academic advisor
• NOTE: Questrom courses (any course beginning with the code “QST”) cannot be taken in the first semester at BU.
